A look across animation, motion graphics, and visual effects work.
An entrepreneurial computer animation professional with over 20 years of experience creating, directing, and producing animation, motion graphics, and visual effects for television series, animated feature films, and commercials.
My independent debut as creator, producer, and director came with the animated short film “The Misadventures of Joca,” which earned 1st place for Best Brazilian First Work, 2nd place for Best International First Work, and 2nd place for Best Student Animation at Anima Mundi 2004 — the foremost animation festival in Latin America and one of the largest in the world.
As one of the founding directors of the animation department at Labo Cine, a leading film laboratory in Brazil, I helped build LaboCine Digital into the country’s largest animation studio over its six years of operation, leading a multidisciplinary team of 60 — animators, illustrators, game designers, and CGI, VFX, storyboard, animatic, and editing professionals.
During this time, I directed the opening animation for the Rio 2007 Pan American Games and served as Director of Animation on “Xuxinha and Guto Against the Space Monsters” (Warner Bros.) and co-director on “Monica’s Gang in an Adventure in Time” (Buena Vista International) — the two highest-grossing domestic feature animations in Brazil. I also directed the animated television series “Monica’s Gang,” broadcast on Cartoon Network Latin America.
After LaboCine Digital, I founded Gava Productions, a studio specializing in animation for television, feature films, commercials, and games, where I created and directed the feature animation “The Adventures of Little Columbus” and the animated series “Chunk and Donut.”
In 2016, I established Gava Motion in Los Angeles, a production company specializing in animation and motion graphic design for advertising agencies, e-learning, social media, and visual effects. In 2017, when 360 Biz became 360 Circuits, I built änimazed studios from the ground up and stepped into the role of Chief Creative Officer — leading the in-house studio responsible for all video, 3D graphics, and animation, and transforming the way electronic components are presented and showcased. In 2023, I dove into the emerging generative AI market and developed AimeeBlue, an AI influencer who grew to 14K followers on Instagram and, since 2024, has served as a jewelry brand ambassador — while continuing to attract partnership invitations from other brands. Alongside her, I’ve been exploring new ways to produce and develop stories and building apps that push the boundaries of how content is created.
